Excel 2016 is not updating calculations
To further complicate things both users were working on different spreadsheets under different versions of Excel (one on Office 2003, one on 2007). The only common thing between them is that both spreadsheets were opened from our shared network drive. When executing a macro, you can sit back and watch all the onscreen action that occurs in the macro.
This sometimes causes Excel’s application window to become totally unresponsive.
I am having to click on the formula bar, then I have to click enter for the formula cell to do its thing. F9 and Shift F9 didn't help and left the values the same.
Ctrl F9 not only updated the values, but fixed the problem so it didn't happen again.
